Choosing a pathway to a promising career in cybersecurity.
University of West Florida
UWF CyberSkills2Work offers a short-term, intensive training program designed to grow the cybersecurity workforce in the areas of systems administration, cyber defense, and AI. The program offers four pathways in an asynchronous and online learning environment. Each provide training, industry certification prep, job-matching support, program support resources, and a career path to the growing field of cybersecurity.
The AI and Machine Learning for Cybersecurity Pathway is designed to prepare participants for roles that utilize artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) techniques to enhance cybersecurity defenses. Participants will gain foundational knowledge and hands-on skills in AI technologies and their applications in detecting and mitigating cyber threats, while also building a solid understanding of networking and security fundamentals through CompTIA Network+ and Security+ certification prep courses. The pathway will equip learners to apply AI and generative AI techniques to identify and respond to cyber attacks, automate security processes, and develop proactive defense mechanisms through ISACA AI and EC-Council Generative AI courses. The pathway will prepare learners for a role such as a Cybersecurity Analyst, where they will leverage cutting-edge AI technologies to protect critical systems and data.
