MSU CyberSkills2Work offers a nine-month, intensive training program designed to grow a cybersecurity workforce with focus on roles such as cybersecurity architect, cyber defense analyst, cyber defense infrastructure support specialist, knowledge manager, network operations specialist, system administrator, systems security analyst, technical support specialist, and vulnerability assessment analyst. The program delivers eight pathways in an asynchronous, online-learning environment and provides training, certification, free exam vouchers, mentoring, a career skills workshop, and assistance with job placement for military personnel, transitioning first responders, and veterans. This program is offered at no cost to selected participants.

About this pathway

The Cybersecurity Security Architect pathway equips learners with advanced skills in enterprise security design and management, with certifications including CompTIA CASP+, EC-Council CEH and CIH, and ISACA CISM. Upon completion, learners will be adept at securing complex IT environments, identifying and addressing vulnerabilities, and responding to incidents with proficiency. With CASP+, learners gain expertise in enterprise security and risk management; CEH empowers them to think like ethical hackers, finding and mitigating system weaknesses; CIH provides robust incident-handling capabilities; and CISM ensures strategic alignment of security with organizational goals. Graduates of this pathway will be prepared to design resilient architectures, lead security initiatives, and strategically manage organizational security.
